In the rushed pacing of our daily lives, we often forget to take it slow and simply be. Just think of the advancements in technology that happen every millisecond or the hasty strides of people in their day-to-day hustle. This is what Chloe Chotrani attempts to explain with her movements (or more specifically, her hands) in the Distant Early Warning music video. Unlike usual interpretative dance pieces where the dancer's motion is derived from music, for this collaboration, the process was reversed. Here, Chloe's movements are translated into Lustbass' soundscapes, with his suave and soulful beats mimicking her graceful kinesthetic dialogue--encapsulating the art of non-verbal communication. Jude Figuerres makes sure to capture it all with his stylistic visuals, with Boombee Bartolome bringing the performace art masterpiece to new heights with her stunning makeup.
