When talking about the local underground electronic beat scene, there are only a few people as hardworking and as forward-thinking as Jorge Wieneke, or commonly known as Similarobjects. From producing sonically beautiful music, to helping educate Manila with alternative electronic beats and bringing in dope international producers, Jorge & the Buwanbuwan Collective is at the forefront of bringing the Manila independent electronic scene to the relevant consciousness. Multidisciplinary collective Ursus et Cervus sits down with Similarobjects to discuss the roots of the beat making culture here in the Philippines, and also talks about Buwanbuwan Collective as well.
