girl in transit debuts with Lovers In The Parking Lot

Reminiscent of a time when double standards and gender inequality were prevalent, when women's rights were just waiting to be realized in the hopes of traditional gender roles to finally be diminished -- The 80's defined women's position in society. Gaining equal rights and opportunities for women was the cause, with confident and empowered women as the effect. All this reflected in the new independent streetwear line for women, girl in transit.

girl in transit travels back to a time of feminism and women's strength with their first collection, Lovers In The Parking Lot. Inspired by a young girl's journey from one place to another, it presents women (in this case, girls) constantly moving and in-search of something. Lovers In The Parking Lot features shirts, sweaters, accessories and an outerwear piece, just in time for Spring/Summer '16. While the collection looks back at a time in the past, the pieces identify as modern with contemporary design and graphics. The Lovers In The Parking Lot lookbook was produced by boy in transit and an all-girl team consisting of musician Jess Connelly, photographer Kara Chung, stylist Reena Mesias, among others. The collection drops on March 27 over at boy in transit.
