The past few years have witnessed the substantial growth of the Philippine skate scene. More and more people are starting to take part in this lifestyle, which translated to more skate shops, spots and crews. Local boardriding shop Grind takes notice and provides us with a glimpse of how it was back in the day. They tapped Lloyd Briones, Pedro Santos, Mike Toledana, Michael Torio, and Gene Ramillo to give us a history lesson with their video Stance Skate Legends. Representing different cities, they started skating years ago, the earliest one grabbing his first board back in 1986. As they help revisit the roots of our skate scene, they hope to shed light and help guide today's generation of skaters. Shot by VJ Chua and Gab Sarmiento and edited by VJ Chua.
