With the new era of grooming already underway, men's grooming regime has changed significantly since, and is now taking on a new style. This has birthed establishments, like Felipe and Sons, that specifically cater to the needs of the modern gentleman. Felipe and Sons aims to "Revive Manila Swagger" by bringing together a barbershop and haberdasher under one roof. It started as a neighborhood barbershop in Salcedo with services no different from what the average barbershop offers such as cut and rinse, massage, and a hot towel shave, and a haberdashery with a team of tailors who will create custom clothing from a selection of fabrics.
With the success of its first branch in Makati comes their second and flagship branch in Ortigas. Felipe and Sons now takes on a much bigger space with two floors, which houses everything in their Makati space and more. The first floor is for the main reception, bar and waiting area where one can enjoy coffee, a glass of whiskey or ice-cold beer to go with conversations about pompadours and premium hair products, plus a loft for all the cuts and shaves, while the second floor is for the haberdashery, back office and a private barber room, where they plan to fly in barbers from different countries to do special cuts.
