The surf scene in the country has flourished relentlessly through the years. It is especially because of the passion and dedication of the local surfing community. However, even with its sudden rise to popularity, only a few know the real deal behind the surfing culture in the Philippines. Mark Mabanag clearly knows that, and he took it as his mission to showcase the culture in the best and right way. He just released the trailer for his upcoming surf film, "Archipelago". The film was shot for three years to fully capture the true essence of surf, from different locations including La Union, Baler and Siargao. The film also features local surfers to further convey their love for surf, and be able to fully express their way of life. For updates, follow Archipelago's Facebook.
