One of the first third wave coffee roasters and shops, Yardstick thrived as one of the mavens of the culture. They have focused their efforts in not only bringing the best coffee to the country but also provide education to interested coffee lovers to know more. They started with small classes composed of few coffee enthusiasts per session. From that, it looks like they have progressed and took it to themselves to be the main coffee educators in the country. Yardstick just recently announced that they will launch the first Specialty Coffee Association of Europe's Coffee Diploma System. "These are accredited professional courses that deliver knowledge and skills through a tested & robust curriculum. Those who pass the exams will be awarded with internationally recognized certificates." according to them. It looks like the coffee community just keeps on getting bigger and better.
