Ayala Museum, with the support of the Japan-Foundation-Manila, recently opened an exhibit called "I love Kusama" in celebration of the 40 year ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation as well as the Philippine-Japan Friendship Month. The exhibit includes a breathtaking collection of prolific Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama's paintings. Kusama has easily become one of the most significant and influential avant-garde artists of the past century for she helped pioneer some of the most relevant art movements of today - Pop Art and Minimalism. Furthermore, she is known for her superb use of color contrast and her iconic use of polka-dotted patterns; it is no surprise that she has collaborated with some of fashion's biggest names -Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs. This rare installation is a must-see for art-enthusiasts and design connoisseurs alike for the exhibit will only run from the 16th of July to the 1st of September in the Ayala Museum, Makati.
