Curtismith - Failing Forward EP

Less than a year after the release of his debut project Ideal Mixtape, hip hop super rookie Curtismith is at it again with a fresh new batch of songs. Check out his 8-track follow-up, Failing Forward EP. After setting everything up first with Note II Self, Curtismith then opens up, with songs lifted from pages of his 2015. A slew of producers headed by CRWN, Breezy Beats, and AJMW provided the instrumentals. Curtismith didn't fail them, thanks to his propensity in flowing the rhymes that he came up with. And the resulting tracks do demand the replay button, with a refreshing vibe that steer away from the usual banging appeal that many rap fans are accustomed to. New Retail + Cafe Concept, Tenant opens in Makati

Photos by Marvin Conanan

In the ever-growing retail industry of the Philippines, new retail concepts sprout almost every week. And in this slew of opening retail concepts, there are always a few that gets our attention, this time it's the contemporary surf lifestyle shop and cafe, Tenant. It's an idea inspired by the easiness of surf culture, intricacy of craft and aesthetic of modern style. Co-owned by creatives, it is clear that the direction for this concept transcends surf. John Esguerra the founder of Quality Peoples and Anton Lopez the founder of ADCA Creative Studio, are among the founders of Tenant, which shows the blend of diverse influences for the store. The interiors are reminiscent of modern Japanese design, a mix of clean structure and raw elements. On top of its refined ambiance, you can enjoy a cup of specialty coffee or craft beer from their cafe at the first floor, while looking through their pieces from quality international brands such as Saturdays, Hill-Side, Engineered Garments, Mollusk, Converse, Quality Peoples and more. You can visit their shop at the Solace Hotel along Kamagong St., San Antonio Village, Makati City.
