Purveyr collaborates with Clockenflap, Hong Kong’s premier outdoor music and arts festival, in another year of gathering the biggest artists and musicians from different parts of the world. Now on its eight year, Clockenflap will take place on November 27 to 29 at the West Kowloon Cultural District of Hong Kong. The three-day event is one of the most-awaited festivals in Southeast Asia as it draws creatives from diverse crowds and industries.
Last year’s Clockenflap featured musicians like The Flaming Lips, Phoenix, Chvrches, Mogwai, The Vaccines, and Tenacious D, just to name a few. Filipino artists’ Tarsius, Eyedress, Mikail, and June Marieezy were also part of the line-up. Aside from music, Clockenflap also highlights art and film with an array of exhibits concurrent to the event.
This year’s Clockenflap promises to be more massive because aside from music, arts, and film, the festival added attractions that are perfect for groups of families and friends -- a Food Affair that caters to the tastiest eats in Hong Kong; and the Clockencraft Market, a display of Hong Kong’s finest crew of independent DIY artists. The Silent Disco, a section where people can groove with their headphones on, is back in the listing this year.
Clockenflap is also proud to announce the Clockenflap Festival smartphone app, the most convenient and up to date way to customize, view, and enjoy the full festival line-up and schedule. Powered by The Club, this app is available for iOS and Android users.
Some of the artists featured this year are: New Order, Ride, The Libertines, ASAP Rocky, Damien Rice, Sun Kil Moon, Mercury Rev, Battles, and Neon Indian for music, and Ummm Design Studio, Jay Forster, Max Hattler, HK Walls, Jim & Ben the Magnetic Men, Club Minky, and Madam Mincemeat for arts. Selected films are Amy, Foosball, Racing Extinction, Dior & I, and Ten Years.

To accommodate the number of artists, Clockenflap will set-up nine stages that will hold various music acts, visual exhibitions, and film showings simultaneously. Goers need not to worry on missing anything because the schedule has been released last week. You can see it here.
