To commemorate it locally, Jelito De Leon (@jelitodeleon), Karl Presentacion (@larkvain), Louie Sison (@louiegraphy) and our own Marvin Conanan (@marvinconanan) and Sara Martinez (@saraaamartinez) organized WWIM11_LaUnion. It happened on the 21st and 22nd of March 2015 in San Juan, La Union. The mission of this event is to promote first the camaraderie and community that Instagram has created around the social factor of photograph sharing and photography as an art form. Continually, the local community that understands and appreciates this culture is growing. And we are looking forward to more InstaMeets around the country, not only hosted by the usual personalities, but also spearheaded by other Instagram enthusiasts. In addition to this growth, we are currently running a campaign called, #WhyInstagramSerious, that aims to explain and express the reasons and stories behind why this community and culture are very particular with the renowned social media application. Purveyr Tours Heima Brixton

Alice must have taken a slice of wonderland with her and decided to tuck it into the pockets of Kapitolyo, Pasig. Amidst the hustle and bustle of the district, a home & lifestyle store that looks more like candy in room form awaits anyone who needs to recharge with color and good vibes. You'd want to throw your hands up and droop on their pink couches once you enter and revel in a multi-sensory treat with its pastel walls, olive scent, and dreamy music. Apart from furniture and decor, Heima also has a collection of quality paper products, stationery, design magazines, and prints from their specialty brand Paper Club, as well as scents, vinyl records, sound gears and polaroid film. Yup, it's a complete package like that. True to the philosophy, "Live happy, beyond ordinary," Heima advocates a lifestyle that stands out and celebrates the whimsy with its vibrant space that leaves no space for anything gray. Purveyr talked to 1/2 of its founders, Bong Rojales, to know more about the concept and the philosophy that started it all.

Unit 103, Three Brixton Bldg. #3 Brixton Street, Brgy. Kapitolyo, Pasig City, Metro Manila

Can you provide us a brief background of yourselves?
We are a husband and wife creative collaboration along with a team of like minded individuals. I’m an IT professional and Rossy is an Interior Designer. We have two companies Heima and Heim Interiors. We co-manage them, growing from our humble roots and remaining true to our core goals of delivering beautiful designs with the mantra of “Live Happy Beyond Ordinary” and “ Design Made Happy”

What is the inspiration behind putting up Heima?
Our inspiration comes from our travels and adventures together, our common interest in design and various visual arts, our interest in technology and continuous innovation, our community of creatives and our team, our vision for good business practices and design entrepreneurship. Originally we just wanted to express our interest from beautiful things we saw from our travels and what is available to us locally.

How have you established Heima as a brand in the design scene in the Philippines? How do you think has the PH design scene changed since you became a part of it?
We appreciate if anyone sees us Heima and Heim Interiors as being able to contribute to the local design scene. We do by design want to contribute and develop the landscape. We are just one, but I think we have also helped others contribute via our activities and events. We hope we have inspired and even harbored creatives that will continue to change and improve design and design appreciation in the Philippines.

How do you describe the Heima aesthetic? What made you decide to adopt or create that aesthetic?
No fancy labels from us, but I guess its just “Happy”. It is driven mainly by Rossy’s creative direction and style. But we are very adaptive, collaborative with our clients so it is based on Design Thinking process aiming to solve customer needs and problems.

Tell us more about the “Live happy, beyond ordinary” philosophy.
We subscribe to a happy lifestyle and being not too common or mainstream as well. go a step further to express who you are.

What else is Heima about apart from the custom-made furniture and home decor? Are these the reasons why it stands out and thrive in the industry?
We are here to support the local creative scene, our latest endeavor Design Cafe is another initiative on this. We continue to evolve and involve, we keep on creating and building on what we have done the past 5 years. We just try to keep on improving our products, our internal process and our team. We think we are different in that to us its not just a business but an advocacy.

Do you have any upcoming events we can look forward to?
We are turning 6 this April 18! We are formally launching Design Cafe and we are going to have another Summer Block Party.

Love, Candypie is a brand which seeks to provide "fashion with substance." According to its founder, San Vicente, Palawan mayor, Pie Alvarez, the brand is as unlimited as the woman it caters to. "The LCP woman knows style - she lives and carries it well. She is constantly on the go yet knows how to unwind, kick off her heels, and party. She is fun and bubbly, worldly and sophisticated. She embraces femininity, lives luxuriously, and values quality," she says.
