California-born artist Dustin Myers will hold his first solo show this Sunday at Secret Fresh, Ronac Art Center. His works are dominantly inspired by aliens and a futuristic concept. Some kind of a psychedelic Dr. Seuss-style influence is also apparent like his "8-Eyed Kitty",used in the poster above. Dustin Myers uses a Flemish painting technique to create depth and allow for the true beauty of the work to emerge. Photographs fail to capture the true details of this kind of painting further suggesting that it is made to be seen in person. Come over on Sunday and see for yourself.
