RAINS x Sperry Collection

Sperry has just recently launched its collaboration collection with Danish brand, Rains, at Felipe and Sons last October 7. RAINS has been defying Danish weather since 2012 with their wide selection of rainwear and waterproof bags & accessories; this, combined with the classic styles of iconic sailor shoe brand, Sperry, well, this team-up could not be any more perfect for the country's unpredictable weather. The capsule collection features two styles, the Authentic Original boat shoe and the CVO sneaker both crafted with Rains waterproof technology. The Sperry x Rains Limited Edition collection is available at Felipe and Sons, Bonifacio High Street, TriNoma, SM Aura, SM Mall of Asia and UP Town Center. BRKLXX DTH DEFIANCE Collection Lookbook

BRKLSS has released their most recent collection a few weeks back. Mainly inspired by cycling culture and other connected cultures around it, BRKLSS produces graphic t-shirts and long-sleeved tees perfect for a ride. Having the founders of Team Manila and a few cycling groups in the Philippines, the brand is definitely in good hands in terms of lifestyle representation and product quality. The BRKLSS DTH Defiance Collection is composed of graphic heavy clothing that promotes an authentic attitude that most riders have, and inspiration to push through despite any setbacks. Satchmi Turns One

Our favorite music and lifestyle store-next-door Satchmi hits their first year with nothing less than a full-blown celebration. Overflowing with free food and drinks courtesy of Mr. Graham Sandwich Shop, Mrs. Graham's Macaron Cafe, Craftpoint and Satchmi itself, the party kept everyone full– heart and tummy wise– along with featured performances from BP Valenzuela, Reese & Vica, CRWN, Coeli, and comedian Chip Balbuena. Fun and games brought the party to life as well, with special prizes from Satchmi's lifestyle brands. One lucky winner even got to bring home a Motorino Mk II by winning the Photo Booth contest.

Satchmi didn't just commemorate their first birthday in this event, but also and more excitingly, revealed what's in store for 2016, which includes opening a second branch in Quezon City, releasing the Motorino MK II in Silver, brewing fresh beans from EDSA Beverage Design Studio, and compiling choice Vinyl Day artists into one impressive vinyl record produced and manufactured by no other than Satchmi. 

Satchmi has indeed come a long way from being an online store to being a celebrated promoter and provider of vinyl records and a lifestyle that brings us closer to appreciating the finer things in life. This is definitely history in the making, and this is just the start. Happy birthday, Satchmi!

Worldwide InstaMeet 12 in Baguio, the City of Pines

Last October 3-4, more than 30 Instagram enthusiasts made their way up north for #WWIM12_Baguio organized by Purveyr, Sino Pinas & InstameetPH and sponsored by Globe. All participants gathered in Camp John Hay, and kicked it off with an intro session of the scheduled activities for the 2-day InstaMeet. As our first stop, we headed to the BenCab Museum to appreciate art by National Artist, Ben Cabrera, and other contemporary artists housed in the museum, and to marvel in the beauty of the place with its own garden and majestic view of the forest mountain. Our second location is the Diplomat Hotel in Dominican Hill, which is known for being one of the most haunted and hauntingly beautiful places in Baguio. We capped off the first day with creative group photos before we all went out for dinner. The second day was short and sweet as it started with a quick trip to the Strawberry Farm and the Buddhist Temple, and ended with visits to known tourist spots such as Camp John Hay and Mines View Park.

The #WWIM12_Baguio hangover lasted for over a week, until we had to announce the winners of our #wonderful photo contest. The contest had 10 judges, 6 of the judges are organizers Marvin Conanan, Alexis Lim, Raniel Hernandez, Karl Presentacion, John Austria & Jelito de Leon, while the remaining 4 are Filipino grammers based in different parts of the globe: Rey Canlas Jr., Herald Herrera, Corinth Suarez & Fritz. All of them had the very challenging task of picking the winners of our awesome prizes; from choosing 10 of their favorite photos, to scoring them accordingly, and ranking them until we end up with just 5 winning photos. And here they are, winning a FujiFilm X-M1, GoPro Hero+, Braven BRV Outdoor Wireless Speaker, Poler Field Pack and How to Photography Everything by Popular Photography, in this order:
