Sinyma - About It (Music Video)

The electronic-influenced band has recently launched their music video for their single, "About It". The video is nostalgic of 90s dance music, almost reminiscent of Daft Punk without the helmets and with a stunning vocalist dancing to the rhythm. Composed of Jess Connelly, Cyril Sorongon and Abdel Aziz, Sinyma is a rising techno-infused band following the likes of Up Dharma Down and Techy Romantics, but with more groove and dance beats.

Rumination Feature - Out of the Box: The Barista Box

If you've seen a beige coffee truck situated in the middle of the brick road at Ateneo De Manila University then you've already stumbled upon The Barista Box. It is a student owned and run specialty coffee shop which is, at the time being, mobile. It started out small where in, Miguel (the brain behind the box) would bring a small thermos of hot water and a simple AeroPress placed inside an old film box and he’d bring it to school every single day and started sharing it with people since he cannot finish a kilo of coffee on his own. Miguel then posted pictures of his box on his Instagram account. And as always on Social Media, a new hashtag, #BaristaBox, was brought into life. That’s how the whole idea started. He stated that, “We want to bring back the old school café, which was kinda like a community center. We want to be that place where you can meet up for a cup of coffee. Hence, its location, it’s situated in the middle of the campus – the perfect spot to catch up and relax amidst the turmoil of college life. For them, It's not about the shitty coffee you've just had, it's about the having a great time and experience.

To know more about Miguel and his team, read the full interview here. Also, follow them both on Twitter and Instagram, @TheBaristaBox.

Spazzkid Makes Music with Sushi, Cats, and Other Objects

In the world of electronic music, even the slightest sound bite can form the backbone of an entire song. The same goes for the use of unorthodox instruments. But in the case of the video below, Spazzkid performs his song "Lovers" without the usual assortment of gear one can expect from an artist of the electronic genre. Instead, he plays the song with the help of cats, household objects, and sushi through the help of the Makey Makey - a device that allows a user to attach alligator clips to any conductive object, turning it into a makeshift MIDI trigger. Now this gives a whole new meaning to the term "playing with food".

MilesExperience - Love Supreme

Miles Experience is a band formed by students of the Conservatory of Music of the University of Santo Tomas. Although, it was only a year ago that they have been playing together as a band even though they’ve been classmates for three years already. Recently, they released a track called “Love Supreme” which at first you may think that it’s a John Coltrane-inspired song but it is not. “Love Supreme” is a collection of sharp contrasts: bold yet shows reservations and uncertainties at times. Its melody is self-assured but is really suave when you get to listen to it. Love Supreme is kind of chill – the kind of song that you’d listen to in a chilly night. The track is kind of melancholic because of the “blues” that the lyrics gives you. If you’re still having doubts about how good this song is, then most probably the guitar solo in the second half should have changed your mind about it.

Eyedress - When I'm Gone (feat. GEoRGiA)

Eyedress came out with a new track this month featuring GEoRGiA from his upcoming debut full-length album, "Astral Traveling Man". "When I'm Gone" retains his signature sound, a dreamy synth-heavy track embedded with cosmic-sounding vocals and desolate lyrics. Eyedress keeps on proving he's one of the best with another subtly confusing track, not knowing if you'll be encapsulated by its gloominess or be moved by its chillwave vibe.
