Artesuave Manila 2016 to show that Local Combat Sports Culture keeps on Thriving

Fighting, boxing in particular, has been a sport that we Filipinos are naturally crazy about. We can't conclude why exactly, but we believe that it's something ingrained in us. This is one of the greatest reasons why other fighting sports have been growing exponentially in the Philippines, plus of course due to the fame of Mixed Martial Arts tournaments too. And speaking of, a staple in that ever-growing sport is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a type of martial arts and combat sports that focuses on grappling. Locally, the movement for that sport has been growing rapidly, "The sport is growing in the country really fast, and so we're expecting to see high-level Jiu-Jitsu on the mats again this year" shared by co-founder of Triumvirate Fighting and member of DEFTAC-Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu Philippines, Franco Rulloda.

Due to this and the success of Artesuave Manila 2015, they are hosting another Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition and lifestyle expo this coming October 29 to 30, 2016. Being one of the first local BJJ competitions to open its doors to grapplers of the MMA community, Artesuave Manila made history. Happening in Commercenter Alabang again this year, Artesuave Manila is aiming bigger. They are opening the event to Purple Belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, to even step up the competition. This coming Artesuave Manila 2016 will definitely be a treat to all local BJJ and MMA fighters and enthusiasts.

The registration for the competition has already started and will continue until October 23, 2016. Aspiring competitors will have a registration fee of Php1,500 each which already covers both gi and no-gi events. Then a 4+1 Group Rate is offered only until October 7, 2016. And in addition to the existing divisions, this year, Artesuave Manila will host an "OG Division" that will have male competitors aged 35 and over.
