Sure you've heard the news about Sinulog street parties being banned. That's not too bad. Sinulog is a religious activity after all and the whole point you're going out there is to conservatively honor and observe the tradition, right? Wrong. Of course not. That's not what put it on the tourism map and most definitely not the reason why you are going. You're gonna be out there to have some crazy fun and enjoy  the company of Cebu. That's why Purveyr has got you a comprehensive guide to all the revelries and goings-on for the Sinulog weekend. Know where to roll, pre-parties and all after the jump.

Friday

Lifedance Sinulog 2013

This figures to be the biggest party to start the weekend. Endorsed by the Department of Tourism, circus-themed outdoor party Life Dance brings in international DJs headlined by Joachim Garraud, pioneer of live audio-visual 3D party experience he dubs as the Alien Invasion. Saturday

Sinulog Blastoff and Threadfest

Cebu Grand Convention Center will be blasting this time of the year with a double-feature presented by Sonic Boom Philippines. That list of bands will surely to rack up a power-packed entertainment. Threadfest, a collective product showcase featuring some of the leading local lifestyle apparel brands will also be held here. More details on their events page.

Sinulog XS

This is some unique mix of an event as Vans and One Skatepark present an indoor skate competition and a music festival at he Amnezia Entertainment Complex on Saturday. From noon til 5 is the skate competition. Witness their hustle, compete yourself, or just have some plain fun with the Vans skateboarding team. Thereafter til early dawn : Nix Damn P, Supermikki, Ace Ramos. Need I say more?

Sunday

Sinulog Invasion

The heart and soul, the main event. Miss any other day except Sunday or you've never been to Sinulog at all. The street parties, the colors, the booze and all. Sunday is the day. Arguably the biggest, most wildest street party is Sinulog Invasion which happens at Baseline. Noon til late, book it. These guys from Rhipstop and Spectrum brought it down last time out and this time promises another one. Watch how it went last time through the lens of Out of Scratch in the video below.


Clubs

Of course you'll co clubbing. There are a number of clubs holding their Sinulog party series. Here are some you might want to hit, or better yet hit 'em all.

VUDU

VUDU starts its party series on Thursday actually and it collaborates with manila's top clubs in this string of events. Something to definitely consider is Sunday's episode when Yellow Fever, the Vegas DJ duo that rocked Tagaytay Electronica Festival, spins. More details on the events page.

Barcode

New club Barcode is in it for Sinulog too and it has its in-house festivities too. The club's Sinulog series starts with a ladies' night on Wednesday as it leads to Sunday with prizes to conclude the festivities. More details on their Facebook.

Republiq Invades Sinulog

Republiq joins the festival and teams up with clubs in Cebu this weekend. Pre-parties at The Distillery Cebu on Friday and Penthouse on Saturday where Funk Avy will spin. The Sinulog main party is on Sunday at the Ayala Terraces.

The Distillery

Aside from its joint event with Republiq on Friday, The Distillery Cebu has a whole party series for the weekend. Music provided by its resident DJs Carlo Lagda and Christian Mozo.
