Hopie - Sugar Water Manila Album Launch

Straight from the Bay Area, Fil-Am female emcee Hopie heads out to B-Side for her Sugar Water Album Launch. One of the gems of San Francisco's underground hip-hop scene, she's back on local soil after paying her first visit last year. This time, she'll be sharing the floor with Anygma and Miscellaneous along with Don P, Red-I and Angelo Mendez. All the ruckus goes down this Friday, February 28 at B-Side, The Collective, Malugay, Makati City.

Secret Time 2: The Curbside Album Fundraiser

This coming Saturday is a joint effort by co-musicians of Curbside to raise funds for their upcoming album. It is great to see how these independent bands and musicians help each other out to push one another nearer to their goals. Similar Objects, Mayonnaise, Cosmic Love, Lions & Acrobats, Miscellaneous, Earthmover, Greyhoundz and Curbside will be performing for the night at B-Side, The Collective. Event starts by 9PM, prepare 200 Php which will get you in and a free drink.

Bakunawa V: Emotional Stimuli

The Buwan Buwan Collective holds the fifth installment of its regular showcase on Friday, June 28 at Arts in The City, Taguig. Unlike last time, there are no foreign acts in the lineup but don't fret because new and rare material by the BBC roster more than makes up for it. Like Animals, Floating Sound Nation, The After-School Special, and the rest of the crew unite all you beatheads in this night of music. Tickets at P150, Booze and barbeque at the venue. WIP Caps 'MNL Tondo'

The local cap brand producer WIP Caps brings in their newest piece. A collaboration with one of Manila's most notorious if not the most, Tondo. WIP dug deep with this collaboration as they immersed themselves in Tondo and its culture. The cap is completely influenced by what the Nakayama (cap designer) experienced and learned from them. Donning a greyscale look with a gray base, black brim and white/black detailing. This Tondo special has the iconic 'MNL' design that WIP is proud of with a tirador-inspired Tondo logo on the side and some Hieroglyphic-like symbols from the historic Artifacts called the LAGUNA COPPERPLATE INSCRIPTION. Daily Grind Q1/Q2 2013

Daily Grind Clothing is back for their Q1 and Q2 2013 collection. The streetwear brand founded in 2005, has vastly promoted the youth subculture through the products they have put out - and they've gone way more than just that; but thru art, and music, together with Team Manila Lifestyle. PurveyrTV - Yumi and Thyro

Rjay Ty went solo in this episode as Joyce Pring and George Balobalo had to be somewhere else. Even though he did the show solo, it was still a very exciting show as he talked with fellow musicians Yumi and Thyro. Know what's new with these two talented singers and how they started. Plus short stories on how it feels to perform for more or less 10 people and when you can't actually remember most lyrics of a song. Then stay put as Yumi and Thyro will be serenading you with three songs before the show ends.

The dubstep producer Brandon Cueto has just released a new track. 'Feeling You' is a more sensitive take on his chosen genre. It is a mellowed down track where you can hear his subtle hard-knocking style clouded by soft synths and slow beats. It is great to know how diverse and experimental our local talents are, and Brandon is probably one of those who we should look out for.

NICK AUTOMATIC June-July 2013 Collection

Rhipstop x Supra: Go Skateboarding Day

This coming June 21, 2013, Friday, Rhipstop and Supra are hosting Go Skateboarding Day at Cebu City. It will be almost a whole day event starting by 1PM at Fuente Osmena. There will be six locations, and in five of those locations there will be a Best Trick contest, then end at Peace Bar for the awarding and performances. Get your skateboards out and stroll with numerous skaters around the city, plus win some prizes if you have the skills to back yourself up.

An Illustrator who has a big curiosity with how women look, their feline character paired up with her interest in cats.
