Sofar Sounds Manila is a progressive concept revolving an intimate experience with music. It is a concept that is also present in other cities like Amsterdam, Istanbul, Milan, London, and more. Always done inside the confines of a private room or an exclusive space, a Sofar event is always intimate making music heard deeper than how it is usually heard from the radio or while in a crowded concert. Here is one of the performances from the previous event featuring She's Only Sixteen singing their song, "Whatever That Was". See other videos here.

Kartel + Lion and the Scouts - PAG-ASA...PAG-IBIG...PAGLAYA!

Float to Kartel + Lion and the Scouts' blend of hip-hop and reggae music in "Pag-asa... Pag-ibig... Paglaya!". Reminiscent of some classic OPM song of the 80's and 90's, the crew brings that soulful vibe as they share their thoughts on today's local music scene. All singing and rapping with a purpose, bumping to and sharing this song with your friends is definitely a must. This track is included in Kartel + Lion and the Scouts' album "Pagsibol", available at Bookay-Ukay Pilipinas and Uno Morato

Scout Magazine Issue 1

Scout Magazine, a project headed by Cai Subijano has just launched their first issue recently at the Samsung Hall last Saturday. Scout Magazine is the response of mainstream media to the ever-growing diverse interests, cultures and subcultures that the youth today are getting into. It is very interesting on how they will make underground and counterculture mentalities reach mainstream consciousness through a free publication, plus a creative way of presenting their content.

"I would compare browsing the pages of Scout Magazine to looking through the lens of a film camera. The collages splashed on matte printed pages exude the carefree and relaxed vibe of the 90’s yet ironically covers topics on post-21st century matters. Scout debunks modern mysteries like making fun of selfies, slut shaming and crafting your own smartphone sleeve!" - Heima
