Coeli Launches the Music Video for "Magkaibigan o Magka-ibigan"

Two friends stuck in the space between friendship and love is a tale often told, but Coeli’s latest track “Magkaibigan o Magka-ibigan” retells the story in her own haunting way. Joined by The Benjamins’ Miguel Guico, Coeli delivers the song with raw emotion and clarity, enough to induce goosebumps starting from the first word she croons.

In the recently released music video directed by Noah Del Rosario, the two musicians sing and strum their instruments while in a forest inhabited by a diwata-like woman. The video weaves the story of this woman and a seemingly-lost traveller, as they meet and struggle to make sense of their feelings. Simple in its concept and execution, the music video still leaves a lasting impression with its ethereal, cinematic quality. Watch the full video below:

Fresh Daily Grind gear for their Q3 Release 2016

Lifestyle brand Daily Grind first started out with the regular music event called Daily Grind Sessions. At first they were giving away shirts for free as a way of promoting the music and the culture. Later on, they pushed it as a streetwear label, as they also took inspiration from skateboarding, hip hop, fixed gear, etc. Here they are now with their latest drop, the Daily Grind Q3 Release 2016. They came up with a black t-shirt for their "Since Day One" motto, along with two new colorways for their DGSD1 logo shirt. Other pieces from this drop took cues from street culture, music and fixie bikes. Available now at the Makati-based concept store Suez & Zapote and at www.dailygrindstore.com.

Hannah+Gabi releases Music Video of "Too Much" from sophomore album Years Gone

Hannah + Gabi's single "Too Much" finally gets the music video treatment it deserves. Off of his sophomore album, Years Gone, the track is yet another ode to Mikey Amistoso's quieter, more mellow solo venture, away from his Ciudad sound. The MV is a four-minute glimpse into his creative process as an artist. More specifically, he takes us inside the technical and physical recording process. He also includes the lull moments he encounters before giving birth to several of his original musical concepts. Directed by Amistoso himself, watch the video below:

Time to Change Up the Bike Game with Pinas Lowridaz

So you've heard a lot about the bike scene lately. Philippine bike culture seems to be developing at a rate that's almost dizzying; to the point that each type seems to blend into an indistinguishable blur to the casual onlooker. This said, there will always be the need to step up to prevent being overturn by the tide of other establishments.

Luckily, one such group has found a way to make a name for themselves. Dubbed the "Pinas Lowridaz," the group looks into promoting lowrider bikes and the individuality it affords to each biker. Local headwear brand, WIP Caps, features them in a short video below, check it out to learn more:

Directed by Augustine Paredes and starring Skymarines' very own daughter, the MV plays out like a stylistic dream sequence. You will be left entranced with how the stunning overlays of the Pawikan Sanctuary in her hometown and silhouettes of her daughter play out. Her spellbinding vocals and dreamy beats serve as the perfect complement to the music video's beautifully made visuals.

This French-American Bistro is Right Up Your Alley

There has been a lot of activity at The Grove lately – and no, I'm not talking about the on-going construction. The Grove Retail Row is steadily becoming a hub for new retail concepts to cater to its ever-growing community. A supermarket, a local barbershop, plus food establishments here and there, these brands have certainly made themselves rather comfortable in the confines of The Grove.

Among these is French-American joint, Alley, which opened just early this year but have already transitioned from a neighborhood sandwich shop to a bistro serving up hearty meals. Don't get me wrong, their sandwiches and sides are superb, but it's their new dishes gaining quite the attention. Did I mention that most of what goes on their dishes are made in-house? Alley takes pride in their freshly baked bread, homemade meats, house churned ice cream - just among others. There is also a good variety in their drinks menu: from coffee or tea to kickstart your day to local beer and cocktails to cap it off. Alley is hard to miss with its inside-out interiors inspired by little alleys in Europe; Imagine brick walls, hanging bulbs, street art, and a vertical garden to keep the place looking and feeling alive. Pay Alley a visit when you find yourself waltzing around that side of town, it won't disappoint.

Have a listen at Similarobjects' latest sought after album Rara Avis

Sometimes, musicians need to take breathers between album releases to focus on letting art, and not commerce and deadlines, dictate their next release. Similarobjects’ latest album Rara Avis comes three years after Tilde, and it is every bit worth the long wait.

Rara Avis (translation: rare bird) is one of a kind. Not only was it released online (thus, no fanfare of a launching gig needed), the album offered an interactive game. Each one of the thirteen songs in the album is represented by a 3D abstract sculpture that illustrates Similarobjects’ relationship with the song, and listeners must play the prescribed game to unlock the images and album files. Staying true to the belief that rare birds are not meant to be caged, the album is offered for free.

Experience the album for yourself through its official website. Stream the album below:
