Photos by Maphie Bolalin
Satchmi hosted Feels 2016 last month to celebrate their own version of the Valentines season, a true love for music. An intimate gathering of music-lovers spearheaded by live performances of Hannah + Gabi, Over October, The Dreamists and Baihana. It was done in genuine Satchmi style, enjoying music from indie bands over specialty coffee or craft beer by Craftpoint Brewery in a Feels-approved customized packaging design. Plus of course, the like-minded event goers who made the night even more lively, as much so that some of the random passers-by have already joined and celebrated with them. View the photos we took from the event below to get a glimpse of what you missed.

Gnarly goes Contemporary with #MWGI16 Collection Pt. 1
at
2.3.16
Graphic-centric clothing brand, Gnarly, has recently released a capsule collection. It is a complete turn around from the brand's usual aesthetic. But aptly dubbed as "Made With Good Intentions", we are assured that it is a step to a better Gnarly, or at least the same one who has been producing quality garments since 2008 with a different direction. The collection comes with contemporary designed tees and long-sleeves donning "Gnarly" and "Made With Good Intentions" in rather simplistic forms, and printed on white with black ink. All the pieces are now available through their online shop or select stockists nationwide.

Stages Sessions opened their second season on Valentine's with Confessions: A Night of Secrets, Stories and Songs at Music Museum. A raw platform for musicians to mount their work, Stages Sessions is a series of live music performances. The event series provides a personal and conversational experience to both artist and audience. Unscripted, authentic and sincere, Stages Sessions came back last February 14 for a new season with a show called Confessions.
Held during the day of love and romance, Confessions is about the nuances of relationships from the perspective of the artist. Featuring a line up of rising musicians who poured out a lot of feels and did a lot of hugot onstage through spoken word and musical performances, Confessions was a success not only on-stage, but also online. With the video series available online, Curtismith's freestyle take on the definition of love spearheads its viral success.
Quest - Walang Hanggan (OST Music Video)
at
2.3.16
RnB artist Quest has steadily embedded his name in the OPM scene. Most of his famous songs, like "Sige Lang", "Pusong Palaban", and "Saludo" offer that much-needed jolt of uplifting vibe. This time, he goes for a different tune to come up with "Walang Hanggan". An OST of the movie "Ang Kwento Nating Dalawa", they used clips from the said flick to provide the visuals for the music video. Quest solemnly sings about a love story on its inevitable end. The heaviness of the emotional toll resonates throughout the running time that exceeded six minutes. But thanks to Quest's soulful voice and delivery, a semblance of hope glimmers, leading to the closing lines "Kung ika'y mawawala sa aking piling/ Dinggin mo ang aking bilin/ Lingon ka lang paminsan-minsan/ Dito lang ako, 'di ako lilisan". The PMPC and Star Awards for Movies took notice and have nominated this track for the category Indie Movie Original Theme Song of the Year.

Yardstick's new Mocha for a more balanced taste
at
1.3.16

As one of the first players in the third-wave coffee industry in the country, Yardstick set the standard of specialty coffee with their unique offerings and quality selection of espressos. Since opening in 2013, they have been serving up the usuals - black, white, daily brew, cold brew & other coffee-based drinks, hot chocolate & tea for their non-coffee concoctions, and some concept coffee items like the Yard Shake & Mocha, Deconstructed - and just adding more stuff on the menu (both food & drink) along the way. As they are meticulous with their coffee, Yardstick constantly improves their offerings tweaking recipes to better serve their customers. Just recently, they ventured into #TheBetterMochaMovement by changing their mocha recipe that gives off that espresso-chocolate balance as most mochas are more chocolatey than its other espresso half. Hot or iced, Yardstick's mocha proves to taste of coffee perfectly blended with bittersweet cacao.
