Progress x THE Capsule Collection Launch Recap

The previous month had its special moments and one of those is the collaboration between two heavy-hitters, THE and Progress. The collaboration gave birth to a capsule collection including tees, hoodies and a special-detailed buttondown. We came down and celebrated the launch of this collection at Progress' flagship store at Quezon City, and here's a short photo recap of what happened. Photos after the break.

Boom Bap Friday: Manila Dilla Tribute Edition

Boom Bap Friday at B-Side at the Collective will dedicate a tribute to one of the most influential and perhaps one of the most celebrated contributors in hip-hop period, the legendary J Dilla. The performance lineup is looking really solid, as Manila's premiere DJs Pasta Groove, Rye, B-Side residents Red-I & Don P, Nix Damn P, Skratchmark & Angelo Mendex will be playing Mr. Yancey's tunes all night long. Live art by Notti, Chichimonster, Mike Nakayama & Dee Jae Paes'te as well. If you're still on that Valentine high, get out of the norm and take your date out to celebrate the life of one of hip-hop's finest.

Wordplay Word To Araneta Recap

Wordplay started the year strong last January 25 with Word To Araneta. The crew collaborated with R2A (Road To Araneta) and brought poetry and hip-hop to Arts in the City. Droves of people flocked the venue to converse, purchase some gear,enjoy some drinks and grub, and witness great performances. Plus everybody witnessed Indio's first music video,  Word of Mouth feat. Zurctap Delivery 1

Up and coming brand, Zurctap takes us back to the 70's with their first release. Featuring tie-dye shirts and crop tops for all the ladies out there. Their threads definitely sets them apart any brand, trading the usual and preferred basic tees with a whole new psychedelic makeup. The collection holds a good variety of designs and patterns. Astron: Sinulog 'Baseline' Street Party 2013

A week ago, the land from the south celebrated their hearts off. Cebu honored the feast of Sto. Nino through various street events and parties. This one in particular is captured by Astron AKA Marvin Conanan. The Sinulog Invasion, hosted by Rhipstop and SpectrumPH happened on January 20, 2013 at Baseline, Cebu City. The event ran from around 12 noon until 12 midnight, with various well-known and highly-skilled DJs from around the country, bringing beats, tunes and music.
